Laboratory work
Laboratory No. 3-7: Mass, volume, density, turgidity, friction
Five virtual labs: balance mass measurement, manzurka volume, density determination, Guk law check, and friction force study.
GEF · Grade 7
PIF · Baseline
01
Laboratory work number three: body mass measurement
Objective: To learn to measure body mass using girth balance.
Proceedings
Balance the scales (if necessary, add pieces of paper)
Put the body on the left balance cup.
Put the giraffes on the right cup, starting with the bigger ones, to balance.
Determine body mass as the sum of the mass of all girecks
⚖
Virtual balance (mass measurement)
IV-021 · Balance the body with the lights
The body of an unknown mass on the left cup.
02
Laboratory work number four: Measurement of hard body volume
Objective: To learn how to measure the body size by using a mensure.
Proceedings
Fill the menzurka with water. Write down the initial volume of V1
Put the body in the water. Write down a new V2 volume.
Body count: V = V2 - V1
Method
This method is called
Archimedes method
The accuracy depends on the price of dividing the mensuck.
🧭
Virtual Menzurka (volume measurement)
IV-021B · load the body and find its volume
Initial volume of water: 50 ml. load the body and find the volume.
03
Laboratory work #5 Determination of hard body density
Objective: To determine the density of the body, knowing its mass and volume.
Proceedings
Measure the body mass on the balance (Lab No. 3)
Measure body size with menzurka (Lab. No. 4) V
Calculate density: ≤ = m / V
Compare with the carpentry table, define the substance
⚖
Virtual determination of density
IV-021C · Calculate ~ = m/V and identify the substance
Mass m (g):
Volume V (see 3):
04
Laboratory work No. 6. Study of the force of turgidity
Objective: To test the law of Guk F = k Δl.
Proceedings
Hang the spring, mark the initial position
Hang goods of different mass, measure elongation
Write F and Δl for each load
Set up a graph F(kl) — must be a straight line
Find hard k as an angle factor
🔧
Guk's Virtual Law
IV-021D · Hang the load and find spring hardness
05
Laboratory work No.7 Study of the friction force of slipping
Objective: To investigate the frictional force related to normal pressure.
Proceedings
Put the bar on the board. Attach the dynamometer
Pull the strings evenly. Write down the force (this is F)
t/
)
Add goods to the string, repeat measurements
Draw Graph F
t/
(N) is the straight line, μ = inclination
Compare μ for different surfaces (wood, rubber, glass)
⛷
Virtual friction study
IV-021E · Pull the bar and measure the friction force
Surface:
Conclusion
The slip friction force is directly proportional to the normal pressure: F
t/
= μN. The μ coefficient depends on the material and surface roughness.
