22.1 The first law of thermodynamics
- The change in the internal energy of the system is equal to the amount of heat transferred to it and the activity of the external forces.
22.2 Iso-processes
The isothermic, isobaric and isochoric processes describe the state changes at the constant of one parameter, and their graphs vary in different coordinates.
22.3 Second law and heat machines
- The second law sets the direction for spontaneous processes: heat goes from hot to cold, and a cyclical machine can't completely turn it into work.
